- Review daily sales, accounts-receivable, online-channel, credit-card, cash, and store reconciliations and ensure errors, missing records, and unexplained balances are corrected before close.
- Control accounts-payable accounting for store and corporate expenses, ensuring approved invoices, correct coding, posting, payment support, vendor allocation, and complete files.
- Review accruals, prepayments, deferred charges, recurring entries, and period allocations monthly and ensure balances are supported and released in the correct accounting period.

- Complete or review bank, credit-card, cash, petty-cash, vendor, customer, store, branch, and intercompany reconciliations and ensure aged or unexplained items are cleared promptly.
- Review supplier and customer statements against Microsoft Dynamics 365, investigate differences, prepare authorized debit or credit corrections, and confirm reliable closing balances.
- Maintain general-ledger integrity by reviewing account movements, unusual balances, suspense items, exchange differences, and system exceptions and preparing required corrections for approval.
- Control fixed-asset additions, disposals, transfers, classifications, depreciation, and supporting records and reconcile the fixed-asset register to the general ledger.
- Review inventory, consignment, landed-cost, cost-of-sales, stock-adjustment, and related branch accounting, including Iraq activity, and resolve differences with operational owners.

- Prepare monthly trial balances, balance-sheet schedules, profit-and-loss support, cash and working-capital schedules, and draft financial statements for Finance Manager review.
- Provide internal and external auditors with complete reconciliations, schedules, explanations, and source documents; record approved adjustments and close accounting findings by deadline.
- Maintain accounting policies, close checklists, account-reconciliation standards, authorization evidence, and segregation of duties and immediately escalate material control breaches.
- Maintain disciplined accounting in Microsoft Dynamics 365, monitor master and transaction data quality, reduce unsupported manual entries, and support approved system and automation improvements.
- Coach accounting staff, review recurring errors, provide practical guidance, document procedures, and build team capability in closing, reconciliation, tax support, and system use.
- Monitor the accounting close, reconciliation, posting, statutory-preparation, and audit calendars and communicate status, blockers, and corrective actions to the Finance Manager.
- Prepare clear explanations of accounting movements, variances, unusual balances, overdue reconciliations, and control issues to support management reporting and decision making.
- Coordinate with Treasury, HR, Buying, Logistics, stores, e-commerce, and other departments to obtain complete and accurate accounting inputs within agreed deadlines.
- Maintain complete, confidential, and audit-ready electronic and hard-copy records for journals, invoices, vouchers, statements, approvals, reconciliations, declarations, receipts, and closing files.
- Recommend improvements to accounting workflows, controls, documentation, and reporting and track approved corrective actions through completion.
- Perform other accounting-control and financial-close responsibilities assigned by the Finance Manager within approved authority and segregation-of-duties requirements.
